Animal Studies, BA/BE Studies, Cell Culture Studies and Pre-Clinical Toxicity: For development of any drug, one need to study their mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics. These objectives need animal experiments, for which YILLP has its own inhouse laboratory. Our animal house is approved by CPCSEA, GoI with our own ethical committee. We are able to deliver the results, in a given time period, as per GLP norms. We have expertise in conducting the following types of studies:

  • Bio Availability & Bio Equivalence (BA/BE)
  • Health Volunteer studies in Fasting & Fed condition in Single & multiple dose
  • Drug – drug interaction
  • Topical transdermal patch study
  • Food effect study
  • Steady state study
  • Pharmaco-dynamic study
  • Drugs with narrow therapeutic range
  • Special population study

YILLP has collaboration-facilities for cell culture related to microbial, plant and animal cells. Microbial culture can be used to standardize the finished products in terms of microbial load, which should be free from any pathogenic microbes, before releasing the batch of a drug to the market. We are also using microbial culture for making span for mushroom cultivation, biodegradable waste management and for developing Biofertilizers.

Plant tissue culture is being used for biotransformation and for enriching a particular phytochemical in each plant, to derive more active principle for commercial use.

The animal cell culture is being used for understanding the mechanism of action and signaling pathway of any drug. It is more pertinent to those herbal formulations, which are already in clinical use by our AYUSH physicians, and traditional healers. This avoids unnecessary animal sacrifice, towards studies related to preclinical toxicity. We are collaborating with several advance laboratories of the country for outsourcing some of the sophisticated equipment and facilities.

Mutagenicity, Drug-Drug Interactions (DDI), kidney toxicity and Hepatotoxicity are some of the important factors which need to be evaluated before launching any medicine. The DGCI, India has a detailed proforma for approval of a new drug. Similarly, the AYUSH ministry has special rules for approval of Ayurvedic drugs. The FSSAI has rules for food supplements. The YILLP has expertise for these tests, through its consultants and mentors and perform these tests with help of collaborating institutions.

Laboratory Services & Tissue Histopathology: We have dedicated facilities for Drug discovery through synthetic Chemistry and phytochemistry, Hematology, Urine Analysis, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Endocrinology, Serology, Histopathology, Demographic data, medical & medication history, general physical examination, systemic examination, ECG, Cardiac-ECO, Radiological investigation. Histopathology is an important technique to support the biochemical findings in animal studies. YIPPL has all the facilities for immunohistochemistry and routine histology of animal samples.

 We have facilities for

  1. Sample collection, storage and shipping
  2. Logistic coordination for incoming & outgoing shipment
  3. Receives samples, reconcile sample, data with protocol requirement
  4. Generate customized result reports

Applied & Fundamental Research and Innovations with existing and traditional knowledge validation: We create a deep and exciting collaboration with private Industries and academic Institutions, through their subject experts, and free-lancers, who have developed vast experience, through their mentorship, consultancy and by using their laboratory facilities, under joint projects, on cross-disciplinary projects. We help the intrapreneurs in driving their ideas to market, through incubating their start-ups, through SCRs and venture funding.

We focus on protein biology, and related genomics, epigenomics, protein – drug interaction etc through bioinformatics, AI, Deep learning and their validation through wet lab research. We work through virtual and physical laboratories.

Validation of fundamental concepts of mantra therapy, Jyotish, karm-kand, Ayurveda and other branches of AYUSH system to bring them is scientific domain to satisfy our curiosity related to our traditional knowledge, towards their therapeutic use in health care and influencing the overall system biology.

Knowledge, generated by science, can be used for common masses, only when it is linked to technology. The industry engineers and scientists, jointly work together to push new ideas for improving human health. YILLP has a strong group of consultants from IIT, BHU, Institute of Science and Institute of Medical sciences, BHU, who are available to develop scientific concepts. We are committed to develop cheaper devices as alternative to expensive ones.

Innovation in Telemedicine, AI based feedback evaluation, innovation in Deep learning-based diagnosis is some of the strengths of YILLP. We are analyzing data of OCT, CT angiography and MRI of head, to develop novel software for accurate analysis of health status, based on data, collected from Asian Population, which is not in public domain. Most of the software of advanced medical diagnostic equipment ae based on data of European or American population, which might be giving results, near to accuracy, because of genetic biodiversity.

The information collected by Vaidyas on personal constitution of the patients of a particular disease, are being collected to develop software for personalized medication, which is the USP of Ayurveda and other branches of AYUSH.

Bio Statistics: Biostatistics is very essential component in epidemiological, animal and clinical trials. Many scientists do not have enough skill to these tools, but YILLP is there on place to help them out, by using advance statistical soft wares. We are also able to serve the social scientists and business management experts, who are deeply involved in survey-based studies.

Bioinformatics, Drug Designing (Synthetic & Phyto-Chemistry), New Drug Development, Toxicity Studies, ADME Evaluation and Formulation Development: Now the story of drug development has drastically changed. Earlier, it was a million Dollar project, taking not less than 10-12 years, but thanks to Bioinformatics and its various advanced tools, which has made this field of drug development easy and cheaper.

The Bioinformatics, through its various advanced tools, has made, drug development, an easy and cheaper approach. YILLP has group of scientists, who are capable of drug- receptor docking, their pharmacokinetics, drug likeness and MD simulation. We have developed capability to screen phytochemicals of medicinal plants, which are already in clinical use by Ayurvedic physicians, to pave the path of new drug development. In COVID-19 pandemic, several medicinal plants have been screened by our company and the results have been published in International Journals.

The academicians do a lot of drug research by isolating compounds from plants and also by synthesizing them in the laboratory, but most of them fail to go to market, because incomplete biological screening for their therapeutic potentials. In case they get this part completed, then the next bottle neck is to get them patented and to license them to a Industry, because these molecules lack Formulation development, which is an expensive process and no Industry likes to take such risk. Thus, YILLP has developed its USP for giving consultancy to such scientists or manufacturing units, to get complete study to make the product ready for transfer from lab to Industry.  Once this step is completed, many start-ups would come forward to license these innovations, which would be beneficial to scientist, Academic Institutions, industries.

YILLP has developed in-house capability to isolate Phyto molecules, semi-purified extracts and their standardization, for use in biological experiments. We are also capable in synthesizing different class of compounds, through our highly qualified mentors and consultants, working in different academic and research Institution in India and Abroad. We prepare samples for testing with various sophisticated equipment, installed in various central facilities of advance laboratories, for testing the samples.

A long list of classical medicines is described in Ayurvedic text. They are clinically effective but due to lack of systematic clinical studies & documentation, they are not being used across the World. The observational studies & clinical trials of these drugs would help in their exports. The mechanism of action and validation of health claims is required.

Many vaidyas have developed special Herbal combinations (patented formulation) but no pharmaceutical company is ready to license them for manufacturing, because of lack of SOPs, as per DCGI/Ministry of Ayush. So, YILLP has aimed to develop protocols of pre-clinical and clinical trials as per OECD guide lines. The innovative researches of Academic institution can be translated to products, for public use. We use of Nano Technology, to upgrade the efficacy of Ayurvedic drugs. There is a big scope to use different novel “drug carriers” for targeted and sustainable drug-delivery.

The Asawa/Aristha are the self-generated alcoholic preparations, which have long shelf life. These preparations are not well standardized, so we aim to develop the SOPs for these preparations by using subject expertise.

Clinical Trial Stage I-IV: The YILLP is good at phase IV clinical trial (Observational studies) of AYUSH drugs, which is an urgent need for their export. There is a great potential for export of herbal drugs and food supplements from Indian Industries, but because of lack of scientific data, they are not able to do so. In this situation, their business is limited to only Indian territory. We are committed to help them in promoting their business through science and technology.

Cultivation of medicinal plants, Contract Farming & Consultation to FPOs, Self Help Groups and Khadi Gramodyog: Since plants are the raw material for Ayurvedic drugs and their quality is dependent on the climate, soil & water, so development of SOP as per GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) will be developed for prominent medicinal plants for Pharma Companies so that they can change the ratio of food plant in a poly-herbal formulation to maintain the concentration of main pro-active phytochemicals in the finished product. For this purpose, proper training & consultations is given to Farmers & FPOs (Farmers Producer Organizations) for organic cultivation, post-harvest processing and developing new food supplements and cosmetics to double their income.

With the help of academic and research organizations, we organize popular lectures, mela, workshops and webinars to educate farmers for good and advance cultivation and post-harvest processing of agriculture produce for better yield, market value and storage technology. The professors of IAGs, IIVER Varanasi are proactive to support our mission.

Project Dissertation of UG and PG Students, Skill Development & Internship:  The YILLP is serving as a research platform for UG, PG and PhD, students to perform their wet lab and in-silco research to complete their dissertations. We provide laboratory-infrastructure, mentorship to complete their work.

It is being generally observed that many students, coming from different Institutions, after completing their graduation in field of engineering, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, pharmacy etc. have not enough practical experience and exposure to field work. So, they face problems in their placement. Thus, YILLP has launched a programme of skill development through internship and short-term training programme to such students, during their studies. For this training, we are collaborating with different Institutions to recruit their students, based on their interest and skill.

Geo-Sciences: The YILLP can give geophysical services with innovative solution in the field-survey by using gravity & Magnetic survey, Electric Resistivity Tomography, and Induced Polarization methods. We have team of experts for seismic data analysis.  Our experts are experienced in premier Institution like ONGC, OIL, BHU and Dhanbad. We work by making partnership with other companies and start-ups already working in similar field.

Medicinal Plant’s purchase, collection & Processing centre: We have a sister Organization “SN Tripathi Memorial Farmers Producer Organization” (SNTMFPO), established in Chandauli District of Uttar Pradesh. It is motivation farmers to collect, cultivate and market the medicinal and aromatic plants. YILLP mentors them for making value added products from their agriculture produce for marketing and personal use to maintain their health. YILLP helps in standardization of raw material as per Pharmaconostic parameters, which helps the FPO members to produce quality product as per International Norms. We act as R and D unit for this FPO.

News and Media: The YILLP has partnership with (1) SRSNTM charitable trust, (2) SN Tripathi memorial Publication and (3) Prof SN Tripathi Memorial Foundation (an NGO). We give services for publication of books and journals, with ISBN and ISSN tag. Our own periodical health News Letter is “Ayurvigyan” We have published 4 Books like “Medical System with Holistic Approach” ISBN- 81-900350-0-2, Chronic and Inflammatory Diseases & Nutraceuticals, ISBN-81-900350-2-9, Say hello to Thumb boy-ISBN-81-900350-1-5 etc.

Our Collaborating Institutions: We Collaborate with scientists of Institute of Medical Science, BHU, Institute of Technology, BHU (IIT, BHU). From time to time, we incubate our projects in BioNest Incubator, ISc, BHU. Through this collaboration, YILLP is able to use all advance instrumentation technologies and consultancy, available with these Institution, as and when required.

Patients Based Study: Clinical Trial, Retrospective Studies and Observational studies

Clinical Trial monitoring is done by experienced clinical monitors and Clinical Research Associates (CRA) under close consultancy of practicing physicians. We have CTS (Clinical Trial Supply) management for multi centric trials. Fully ICPL and GCP guided operations with ethics, high quality & confidentiality will be carried out to fulfill global regulatory requirement from start up to completion. Experienced project managers will work in close coordination with sponsors & project team to ensure quality delivery within the given time line with transparent quality control & budget agreement. Each trial has a qualified & trained – Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to assist the investigator & site staff.

Industrial-partnership-development and Helping Industries in Obtaining Clearance from Regulatory bodies like DGCI, AYUSH ministry and FSSAI: We believe in working jointly with other organizations with open mind for profit sharing and workload distribution. We are already connected to several Indian and foreign Industries. innovation companies and Academic Institutions like Magi Group, Italy; Mankind, India; Basu eye Hospital, Bareli, India; Banaras Hindu University; IIT, BHU and Surya Pharmaceuticals, Varanasi, etc.

Food and drugs are controlled by these agencies. On top of that QCI is another body to certify the GMP of that manufacturing unit, where these items are manufactured. These are complex processes and because of ignorance, many manufactures avoid these licensing and regulatory authorities, which limits their marketing scope. YILLP has a strong team to help the manufacturers in getting these licenses, by advising them path and procedure to follow the manufacturing steps, to make a standard and safe product, which may have Worldwide access for marketing. Even in India, bypassing these authorities is an offence, and the manufacturers may fall to a trouble, as per Indian laws. YILLP acts as consultant to such needy organizations, or individuals.

Research paper writing: Our team helps scientists in compiling their data and writing the report and scientific research papers, as per guidelines of the funding agencies and publisher. We arrange the original data collected by the author and also suggest to generate new data and research references, if needed to write a good research paper.

Academic courses and Training: We are already running following academic programmes

  1. Yoga Instructor Course, approved Deemed University sVYASA, Bangalore
  2. Panchkarma therapist, approved by SRSNT Memorial Charitable Trust

Scientific Event management: The YILLP is good at organizing events like seminars, exhibitions, Mobile tours for advertisement and education, training program for skill development for other Organizations, under collaboration and partnership. Our consultants and Mentors have long experience with various success stories as organization of National Science exhibition at BHU in 1984, World Congress of Ayurveda and yoga in 1987, 2019, rath Yatra for AYUSH system awareness in 2010, International conference on Free radicals biology and medicine, Annual meeting and seminar of Indian Society of Atherosclerosis Research (ISAR), India, Annual meeting and seminar of Indian Society of Radiation Biology (ISRB), and member of organizing committee of SPG (Society of petroleum Geophysicists, India etc.

Market Surveillance of Drug, Diagnostic and issues related to Social Sciences: Many drugs and medical diagnostics are being launched in the market, but it has been observed that many of them have some adverse effect and thus withdrawn from the market after a while. Many of them, fail to survive in the market, giving a great loss to the company. This kind of pharmacovigilance and market surveillance study would be helpful in advising the manufacturers in changing their marketing policies. Such feedbacks can be collected and analyzed under consultancy programme of YILLP. We have good experts from various institutes of management studies, who are ready to work with us as the consultants. Thus, such services may be given to the customers at an affordable rate.

We are good in serving as political analyst. Our team members use high-end AI and deep learning tools to analyze the information, collected by social scientists and predict the future path of action for improvement in desired field of our clients. We develop strategies for action in field of Social, political, economy, marketing, business and health care goals.

Why we do: We believe in translating the knowledge by innovations to give back the product to the community, for their welfare. We work on model of “by the people and for the people”

Our scientifically validated products: Our innovations are being translated as products and being released for marketing. Nidra Bal Prash is a product as Brain tonic and for management of sleep disorders. It has been licensed under FSSAI and phase IV clinical trial. Another product from Classical Ayurvedic text “Dasan Sanskara” is also in market for clinical trial and market surveillance. These products are under B to B and B to C mode of marketing.
